Tulsi Vivah Celebrations at Naperville ADS<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The day after Ekadashi (Ekadashi is the day when Lord Vishnu wakes up to take charge of the world again after having rested for four months.), comes the beautiful festival of Tulsi Vivah which is symbolic of India\u2019s love and respect for plants and trees, even those that grow wild. Tulsi is a plant that grows in the wild and is cultivated only because it is a part of worship rituals for Vishnu or Krishna. It has many medicinal qualities too. Tulsi leaves are a symbol of love and devotion and are loved by Krishna or Vishnu (Vithala) and offered to him in every ritual. Every Kartik Dwadashi: Lord Krishna and Tulsi are married in ceremonial pomp and splendor! Our Naperville and Schaumburg centers celebrated the grand Tulsi Vivah. Naperville center was the bride side (Tulsi) whereas the Schaumburg center took the charge of the groom (Lord Krishna), and they performed all the rituals from pre-wedding (Mehndi, Sangeet) to post-wedding (Bidai, Grihpravesh) with lots of energy and happiness. A lot of seniors and staff were present at the wedding. Mrs. Kumar also attended the rituals and took blessings from Lord Krishna and Tulsi.<\/p>\n
