During the Convention, selected overseas Indians were honored with the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award to recognize their contributions to various fields both in India and abroad. Honorable Prime Minister of India\u00a0Shri Narendra Modi was the Chief guest who inaugurated the 17th PBD Convention. Dr. Mrs. Santosh Kumar attended the function along with other leaders from various fields like Padmashri awardee Soma Ghosh, who is specialized in classical Singing, and Dr. Renu Raj from London, Mr. Sunil Shah, Mr. Neil Khot from Chicago. Hon&#8217;ble Minister for External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, Hon&#8217;ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Hon&#8217;ble Minister of Civil Aviation, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Republic of Suriname, H.E.
