Other services include catheter care, injections, wound care, ostomy care, infusion therapy, and diabetes education and management.
The goal of physical therapy is to provide patients with assistance to regain strength and endurance in the home setting. Services may include home safety assessment, fall risk assessments, mobility and transfer training, gait training and development of home exercise programs.
Occupational Therapists help improve patient's abilities in daily living, increasing awareness of the body and surroundings, improving recognition, and teaching techniques to simplify tasks.
After a stroke or accident, speech therapy can help you recover your swallowing and communication skills. Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializes in the evaluation and treatment of swallowing, cognitive/thinking skills and communication disorders to help you regain independence and improve your quality of life.
Patients with Medicare and Private Insurance that are receiving skilled home health services and require assistance with personal care may be eligible for a home health aide to assist with bathing and dressing.
