Yoga Day

Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India. Yoga is one of the six orthodox schools of Hindu philosophical traditions. In his UN address, Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi suggested June 21st be International Yoga Day, as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and shares a special significance in many parts of the world.

Honoring the International Yoga Day, the Indian Consulate General’s Chicago Office Celebrated the 5th International Day of Yoga on June 15, 2019, at the Naperville Yard Indoor Sports Complex, 1607 Legacy Cir, Naperville, IL 60563. UMAS joined this celebration with approximately 50 of its staff and senior participants. We had our stall set up to spread the awareness of our services to our community. Our trained staff answered and helped with the inquiries and distributed all our brochures and other literature to the Yoga participants.
